My free-hand bear. I made this months ago but the muzzle/mouth was all wrong and made the poor thing look like a blue pig. Amigurumi World helped me with bear faces. I also made this more homely dude from the book:
It seems when I follow patterns, the results are less than stellar. Noted.Yet the author is the one who started the putting-the-muzzle-above-the-eyes thing and I finally see why. She did it high enough on the head so it looked like the creature was looking up at you. A lot of amigurumi-ers do this without achieving that affect. Found this pattern among many awesome free patterns yesterday. Churned this little chick out in an hour and a half. Started out as a bear but became a chick when I realized the head looked really funky.

I love Meatwad. He is my favorite Aqua Teen Hunger Force character. This was my third project and it took awhile to get the face right. I had limited resources so I just used a sharpie and yarn for the eyes. I might redo that with felt.
